Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Crew (the "Software") or this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
Free and open
Crew is distributed free of charge, and its source code is publicly available at github.com/alexselig/crew. Nothing in these terms limits any rights granted to you under the license accompanying that source code; where the two conflict, that license governs the Software itself.
No warranty
The Software and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including, without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use them at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maintainer of Crew shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or systems, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the Software or website.
Your responsibilities
Crew runs real terminals and executes the commands and AI agents you launch on your own machine. You are responsible for:
- The commands, prompts, and code you run through Crew, and their effects on your systems and data;
- Complying with the terms, policies, and any usage costs of the third-party tools and services you use with Crew (for example, Anthropic and GitHub);
- Complying with all applicable laws.
Third-party tools
Crew launches third-party command-line tools and services that are not owned or controlled by Crew. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and Crew is not responsible for those tools or their behavior.
No guaranteed support
Crew is an independent, open-source project maintained on a best-effort basis. There is no guarantee of support, availability, or continued development.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with the date shown above; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
